Asus Transformer Pad Infinity vs. Transformer Prime

Listen to article

Our Quadrant score for the Pad Infinity is 4,729, an improvement from the 3,962 on the Prime.

The same goes with our Antutu Benchmark -- it's up to 12,353 from 10,979 on the Prime.

It's actually in the NenaMark 2 benchmark where the score drops. The Transformer Prime got 49.7fps but the Pad Infinity is down to 39.5fps.

This is because of the screen resolution. The Pad Infinity has to fill up a lot more pixels in the screen compared to the Prime, thus slowing down the number of frames per second.

I am told that the only variant that will be released in the Philippines is the one with the 64GB internal storage.

Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 specs:
10.1″ Super IPS+ Full HD display @ 1920×1080 pixels
Gorilla Glass 2 Display
NVidia Tegra 3 1.9 GHz quad-core processor
64GB internal storage
1GB DDR2 RAM
1.2MP front-facing camera
8MP autofocus camera with LED flash
3.5mm mic & headphone combo jack
micro HDMI port
micro SD card slot
USB 2.0 port (dock)
SD Card slot (dock)
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 2.1 w/ EDR
up to 18 hours of battery life (w/ dock)
Google Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich

As for the price, we are expecting somewhere in the vicinity of Php35k for the entire tablet and dock combo.

We recommend reading up our Asus Transformer Prime review here, taking into consideration the two main improvements added into the tablet that we detailed here.

too bad Asus Phil. won’t be releasing the infinity with 32gb and w/o the keyboard dock.
Not everyone would want to shell out 35k for a tablet.

LOL first one to comment, I’ve been waiting for this to come out, I guess it’ll be here in the Philippines late August or early September, up to now the ASUS TRANSFORMER PAD TF300T is not yet out here, pips from ASUS SM N.Edsa said 3rd week or last week of July, the price of TF700 is too heavy for me :( I’ll just opt for a high power laptop with that price, I can even play diablo and other high end games
