En los primeros meses de 2003, antes de cambiar a Wordpress desde mi propio CMS de blog personalizado, solía haber varios usuarios hardcore de Wordpress alrededor. De hecho, incluso había un encuentro de Wordpress en algún lugar de la UP Diliman en ese momento. Lorelle de Wordpress incluso tiene una página para esos eventos relacionados con Wordpress.

Después de convertirme, he evangelizado sobre la grandeza de Wordpress y desde entonces he instalado cientos y cientos de blogs de Wordpress. Así que, ahora que parece que WP es el claro ganador (prácticamente el software de blogs predeterminado por aquí), ¿necesitamos un Grupo o evento local de Wordpress como los que tienen en Malasia?

¿Hay alguien por ahí que todavía tenga ese grupo original de Wordpress de 2002/03 y esté haciendo algunos proyectos o eventos?

We already have a pinoy wordpress group now. But a few years ago, I was talking to Gail about starting a wordpress-ph group, a local counterpart of the various groups in other international locations. Maybe we can discuss this with the current pinoywordpress yahoogroup and make something bigger and more official.

that would indeed be a very good idea… para naman meron local support sa mga nahihirapan gumamit ng wordpress… when i 1st blogged, it was during the time pa of b2, and when wordpress was born out of b2, i immediately switched and never looked back… maganda ito… sigurado sasali ako dyan…

Been looking for pinoy + wordpress group but the one Mae has mentioned is indeed so inactive I decided to cancel my membership.

This could be a good output from the upcoming Blogger party this January. What better venue to discuss this than during a face-to-face encounter with fellow Pinoy bloggers.
