In both my talks yesterday and today, I mapped out the history of pro-blogging by referring to 2003 as 1 B.A. (Before AdSense) and 2004 as 1 A.A. (After AdSense). So 2010 is technically 7 A.A.
It’s been a while since I did a talk in iBlog but beyond the numbers and online stats discussed, it’s the offline connections that makes it all more real.

So, I’d like to give a shout out to all those people who braved to introduced themselves to me and apologies to those I haven’t been able to chat with or gave advise to in detail. Tried to stay the whole day to accommodate everyone. I’m glad to have met a lot of YugaTech readers, fans and Twitter followers. Nice to finally put a face to those Twitter handles and nicknames in the comments.

My second day was spent on Blog_Fest 1.0 where we discussed (with veteran journalists Yvonne Chua and Ira Panganiban) the merits of the 5th estate (citizen journalists), the role of bloggers in the realm of new media and the blogger code of ethics.

It’s great to have both mainstream media and bloggers all in the same room and talking about the future of “journalism”.

And going back to my presentation, I’d like to share this one slide I presented in my two talks as it also reflects the evolution of the blogging profession.

Nice meeting you sir! and napakahelpful ng talk mo about the income side of blogging.
Maraming salamat din at naexperience ko na first hand yung ipad na dala ninyo (though si john ang humawak nung inabot ninyo sa kanya) it kinda made me want to get an ipad myself haha!
