Following the success of the first batch of Android One devices in India, phone makers are now prepping for a second wave of inexpensive smartphones to release before the year ends.

The first family of Android One handsets were launched last week and were headlined by three phone manufacturers namely: Karbonn, Micromax, and Spice. Their current handsets are equipped with decent specs with a price tag of Rs 6,399 or Php4,624USD 79INR 6,680EUR 75CNY 574 when directly converted. Karbonn is reportedly the first maker to come out with a second device under Google’s program followed by Spice. Expect the same range of pricing schemes when they launch this December.
In addition, Android One was said to arrive in the Philippines later this year. Here’s what to expect once it makes its way to local shores.
