Google Pixel 9a now official

Google has officially unveiled the Pixel 9a in the US as its most affordable option in the Pixel 9 Series.

Apparently, the recent rumors about its design and key specs were true. The Pixel 9a gets a redesign—removing the camera bump from its predecessor and retaining just the oval shaped camera module.

On paper, the Pixel 9a boasts the Google Tensor G4 chipset with Titan M2 security co-processor and comes with 8GB standard RAM for both 128GB and 256GB options.

It sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Actua display with 120Hz refresh rate, dual rear cameras with 48MP main (OIS) and 13MP ultrawide. Battery-wise, the phone packs a 5100mAh unit with support for 23W wired and Qi wireless charging.

Software-wise, the phone runs on the latest Android 15 and Google promises up to seven years of OS upgrades and security patches.
