Mobile Number Portability Act signed into law

モバイル番号ポートラビリティ法は、ドゥテルテ大統領によって最近法として署名されました。

法律により、携帯電話番号は「移動可能」となり、消費者が異なる通信事業者に移行したり、サブスクリプションプランを変更したりした場合でも、携帯電話番号を保持できることが保証されます。この措置によると、通信会社は消費者が携帯電話番号を無料で保持できるようにし、スイッチングやサブスクリプション変更を完全に処理するのに最大48時間以内で行うことが求められます。

通信事業者に対し、法律に従わない場合、最大100万の罰金が科され、5回目以降に「調停後も不当に契約を拒否する」場合、事業権も取り消される。

The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) was also certified by the law to pay up to PHP 40,000 in damages to each subscriber. The NTC was first urged to order telco companies to adopt Mobile Number Portability in 2017.

Is this law for immediate implementation or do we still have to wait?

I suppose yung 09xx ay magbabago pa rin depende sa telco. Pero yung the rest of 7 digits will be portable. Else how can one differentiate Globe from Smart/Sun? Calling to the other telco is still fairly expensive.

nope, kasama sa law na iisa lang ang rate kahit saang telco pa siya. sa US ganun. kahit anong pang tawagan iisa lang ang rate. nagkakatalo nalang sa signal coverage at sa offer nila sa plan.

Wow angtaas ng fine sa telcos. Dapat ganito din ang fine sa mga illegal parking, jaywalking, nagtatapon ng basura sa kalye at sidewalk vendors. Dapat gayahin ang singapore penalties para matuto sa disiplina.
