Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML 2.3GHz, 4GB benchmarked

Last Friday, we also received a variant of the Zenfone 2 ZE551ML running 2.3GHz from Asus PH (a good indication they’ll release it here) to review. While we’re already done with the 1.8GHz variant of the ZE551ML (see here), we’re augmenting our results from that with new data from the 2.3GHz variant.

At the moment, we have the ZE550ML which has 2GB of RAM and runs a 1.8GHz Z3560 processor, a ZE551ML with 4GB of RAM and the same Z3560 chip and then the ZE551ML with 4GB of RAM and 2.3GHz Z3580 processor.

We believe due to the differences in specs and hardware (specifically the full HD screen), there will be performance differences between the variants. First up, we run our suite of benchmarks.

The results of the benchmark shows the 2.3GHz version of the ZE551ML tops half the tests due to its higher clock speed of 2.3GHz.

In some tests, the ZE550ML got better scores than the equivalent ZE551ML with 1.8GHz chip because of the lower screen resolution. It’s pretty evident that the 1080p display will affect performance of the device as shown by the scores in PCMark.

  1. bakit mas mabilis yung ZE550ML 2GB/1.8GHz sa ZE551ML 4GB/1.8GHz?

  4. Sabaw. Iba talaga pag premium phones like iPhone. Tapon pera pag android, good on papers suck big time in real life. Benchmark? Fyi, it doesn’t mean anything in the real world fags! Android users always look on specs, Apple users rely on performance. Sa inyo na yang ma Android phones nyo na parang dunkin donut na sa dami hahaha.

  5. I have to say. The Z00AD (Zenfone 2 ZE551ML 4gb RAM Version) model’s CPU is a beast! but as of now it needs to be improved with regards to stability. Hoping for more updates from ASUS for stability improvement. Keep it up ASUS!

  6. sa sobrang tagal ng release dito sa pinas natatabunan na sila ng mga ibang brand haaaay nako asus alam nyo bang hindi na kami makapaghintay nakakwala na ng ganang bumili
