It’s interesting to note that the company is including a built-in data encryption chip for extra security of the files stored in the handset. Unfortunately, this will only be available to the variants in China, while a fingerprint scanner will have to suffice for everyone else.
The Gionee M6 has a price tag of CNY2,699 (approx. Php19K) for the 64GB storage and CNY2,899 (approx. Php20K) for the larger 128GB space. On the other hand, the M6 Plus commands a CNY2,999/CNY3,199 (Php21K/Php22.6K) for the 64GB/128GB models. Shipping begins early August.
