LG Mobile announced today in Japan their latest flagship phone — the LG Optimus G Pro. This is an update to their Optimus G which was announced back in September 2012.

The Optimum G was the fraternal twin of the Nexus 4 by Google. The Optimus G Pro adds more muscle to the device.

Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.7GHz quad-core processor

2GB RAM
32GB of internal storage

LG is already selling the Nexus 4 in the Philippines (retails for Php22k+ in LG stores) and it will probably be followed by the Optimus G. If not, we hope they’d just jump straight to the Optimus G Pro.

It’s true na sa patibayan, lalaban ang LG. I had their first Android the GT-540 and a GX-500 dual-sim na ilang beses na nalaglag sa hard concrete floor and everytime it happens, tatlo ang pinupulot ko. The back cover, the battery, and the unit itself. Kabit ko lang ulit and it works na naman. Ang malungkot lang ay nasira ang kanilang reputation dahil sa non-commitment nila sa updates and that brought the ire of some users, which resulted to their poor sales. Many LG owners/users shifted to other brands. With regards to the screen, I’ll pick LG anytime over Sony Xperia, which I think is just pure hype when it comes to quality. The viewing angle of Sony’s screen is something that can make it not worth their price. Here’s a quote from GSMArena regarding the Sony Xperia Z: “Images are rendered beautifully (with Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine 2 bringing a noticeable boost), though we do have some complaints. I just hope that LG would make good with their updates this time at sana they make their International version with a removable battery and a micro-sd slot. Nothing more to ask for with that.

Looks very sexy and classy.

The best feature of this phone is the 2.4MP front facing camera which will make Skype calls, video calls and quick snapshots much more detailed and sharper.

The 32GB internal storage is also a HUGE advantage plus MicroSd Card Slot up to 64GB.
while Xperia Z is only 16GB internal.

Finally this smartphone might set LG back up to its glorious days in the early 2000’s.

those are just benchmark, great optimize is the key to meet great performance like iphone 5(DualCore)vs S3(quadcore) vs LG G(quadcore). Note 2 nga nag lalag pa. so whats the point of quadcore??
so never na ako titingin sa mga benchmark na yan at hardware. stick ako sa phone for everyday and everywhere use, hindi yung pambahay at office lng. AT TAKOT DALHIN SA BEACH.

hahahaha!!! i respect LG, peo wag niyong ipagmayabang yang benchmark na yan, but impress ako sa battery life.

This new trend of smartphones with 5-inch screens are really making waves. But I find them too big for me. HTC, Sony and LG now have 5-inch flagship smartphones. Samsung will follow in February. I hope they still release phones with 4.3 or 4.5 inch screens but still with top of the line specs

4 months left on my Docomo contract.

The Xperia Z looks good, the NEC and Fujitsu might be OK. I still can’t take LG seriously as a player with their history of fail at smartphones.

Probably going with the Sony out of this season’s Docomo offerings.

.2GHz isn’t really noticeable. xperia z/zl would probably have a better camera but this has a 3000mAH battery. ano kaya specs ng ilalabas na S4? hmmmm

I HAVE LG OG’S 13 MP IT BEATS THE 13MP OF MY SONY XPERIA TL.
LG’S CAMERA IS MORE REALISTIC AND SHARPER LIFE-LIKE COLOR.

LG’s (even some of Samsung’s and Apple’s) phones’ cameras are from Sony. It’s on the processing of the images where they only differ.

pina alala ko rin sayo na baka di mo alam copycat lng ang sony sa ipinagmamalaki mong. pagkakaroon ng waterproof sa xperia z/zl.
Baka di mo alam kung ano-ano na na achived ng LG mobile world.
Compare to Sony mobile world.

this is phone is made of Premium material like gorilla glass.
good elegant hardware design.
LG is doing well in U.S. market its now comeback recaptured the 2nd place.
