Two Windows Phone 7 handsets have been revealed — the Nokia Lumia 710 and the Nokia Lumia 800 which basically almost the same one as the Nokia N9.
Nokia Lumia 800 specs:
3.7″ AMOLED display @ 480×800 pixels (252ppi)
1.4 GHz processor
Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset
3D Graphics HW Accelerator
512MB RAM
16GB
HSDPA 14.4Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 2.1
8MP autofocus camera, Carl Zeiss optics, flash
720p video recording
FM Radio tuner
GPS w/ aGPS support
Li-Ion 1450mAh battery
Windows Phone 7.5 Mango
The Nokia Lumia 800 has the same design as the Nokia N9, only with a smaller display. The Carl Zeiss optics assures us the quality of the camera will be the same as the N9.
Nokia Lumia 710 specs:
3.7″ LCD display @ 480×800 pixels (252ppi)
1.4 GHz processor
Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset
3D Graphics HW Accelerator
512MB RAM
8GB
HSDPA 14.4Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 2.1
5MP autofocus camera, flash
720p video recording
FM Radio tuner
GPS w/ aGPS support
Li-Ion 1300mAh battery
Windows Phone 7.5 Mango
The Lumia 710 looks like the Nokia C7 or Nokia 701 and is probably targeted to the younger crowd. It does not have Carl Zeiss optics though but should be cheaper than the Lumia 800.
Also have this impression the “Lumia” name doesn’t feel Nokia-ish.

The Lumia 710 looks like the Nokia 603
panmix says:
NOKIA lumia 800 brought a smile on my face and got my eyes twinkled again, just like having my NOKIA 7650 way back then.
eman says:
hello sexy :)
H says:
the latter reminded me of the new myphones i saw on a mall. meron ho bang wifi hotspot ang lumia 800? di ba ang n9 meron. ang n8 meron din pero may bayad joiku something. ma-try ko nga.
mukha namang puro good reviews ang n9 pati sa phonearena. sana mag-change ang mind ng nokia and i-continue na lang ang MEEGO. para ma-upgrade na n8 ko to meego from symbian anna.
Sonofa says:
di po amoled ang Lumia 710
dan says:
bili ka na lang ng bagong model “LUMIA” na kasi yang nokia mo…
noknokmo says:
WOWOWOWOW! I like Lumia Shanghai!
r41n says:
WP7 FTW! A lot better than CRAPPY Android!
wacko says:
kelan kaya available itong lumia sa atin, mukang maganda wp7
rcsaint says:
sounds like lumpia…
iTIMES says:
parang mas gusto ko pa ang N9 dito.
russ says:
Welcome Nokia Windows Phone. will be spending the holidays swiping in fluidity out of the box rather than be lost in ‘apps + power obsession of the robot and the sin fruit’. Nokia and Microsoft did just the right winning strategy by creating a relaxed zen like experience in smartphones. i found love.
vinjane24 says:
these guys have no idea what they’re talking.. first, anna is based on symbian ayun po ang os niya. bali yung name na anna upgrade version siya ng symbian.. n9 nman is megoo based on linux kaya iba yung os nila.. naintindihan mo? maghanap ka kausap mo tsong para kang lasing.. lol..
kevin says:
Specs are so 2010. I’ve read it’s very expensive considering the not so impressive package.
russ says:
it was love at first sight. it just advances miles away from existing smartphones now by design, metro UI live tiles goodness, and seamless OS functionality. i cant wait for this. goodbye to old world app UI madness(iphone) and android’s techy bullsh*t. Nok 800 gave me a refreshing state of mind for future smartphones. people-centric not device centric! (SIRI?). windows phone lets you interact more around you and not isolate you.
Marco says:
Wow! That’s cool!
John says:
Sa wakas! i am so glad na marami na akong nababasa na nakakarealize na bulok at walang silbe ang pataas ng specs sa android..
like i said before, para mas madaling maunawaan kung anong pinagkaiba ng android at WP7 sa performance..
ps2 only run on a single core 300mhz CPU but it can play games a lot better than your Dual core atom clock at 1.6ghz PC.
blue fin says:
Nokia’s market share continues to erode by iPhone, Android phones and even by RIM’s BlackBerry. Nokia has been one of my favorite phone for quite sometime now and hopefully with their transformation they can regain that lost ground and eventually became competitive again in the smartphone market. I do believe their Windows run mobile is now at par with popular superphones
Lezure2010 says:
Nice, the specs are definitely ok and up to par with the needs of smartphones.:) I’ve been waiting for this and I’m prettty sure microsoft will be doing it’s best in updating WP7 and nokia will always be there to utilise those updates. And I’m also pretty sure these phones won’t cost nearly as much as the high end android phones or iphone 4s.
kevin says:
of course I would not waste my hard-earned money with a disappointing package: no front camera, no microSD card slot, the 400×800 pixels. And of course, the apps. Epic fail.
Viva La Nokia says:
I’ll get two blacks, please. One each of N9 and Lumia 800.
Nokia, heto na! Take it! Take my credit card! Sa inyo na! Give me THOSE phoneS!
jonaflormicfren says:
Very nice, i like the colors, style, and features.
lawrence says:
I love that nokia is venturing out, and the specs look decent considering WP is relatively efficient.
But I hate how they remove some things that make them NOKIA before. No SD slot, front facing camera? Nevermind the dual core, most android units cant utilize them properly except with 1080p vid recording..
But seriously, what differentiates NOKIA from other OEMs that produce WP7? They didn’t even make a decent customization to the UI to make it NOKIA-sh.. they just stirred people’s curiosity when they left meego for this.

lala says:
Ryt! what makes nokia different from other OEM’s that offer Windows Phone OS? there aren’t any customization in the UI that can make it uniquely nokia either. So what’s with the hype?
magnus says:
One of the biggest differentiators for Nokia in the Windows Phone world is Nokia Music. The company has had a couple of music offerings in the past, but Nokia Music really seems to nail it – it’s a radio-based Mix Radio service offering you choice of 100 channels varying by genre.
Most people already understand Zune, beautiful interface, you buy tracks and you play them. Simple.
But Nokia Music is a whole different proposition. It’s a radio-based system based on 15 million tracks, and a huge selection of these are sorted into generic stations or channels and refreshed, shuffled and served up to meet your taste and choice.
And its not radio in the traditional sense.
2toyzki says:
LUMIA means ‘PROSTITUTE’ in Spanish.
Epstein says:
Free turn-by-turn navigation? Anyone? It may not be popular here in the Philippines but on other countries they “need” it.
Kat Liwanag says:
oooh nice colors… will nokia go for the droid? but this is a pleasant surprise.. a change from their..
see
I even forgot their OS
hehe
tukmol says:
dami talagang trolololl dito, nokia kasi pang masa with sytle hehe. iphone..daming bawal….jailbreak…para all in lahat, htc? ganda specs….camera sucks….SE lang nakikita kong matinong fone eh simple lang it rocks IMHO :D
kikokix says:
Ever wonder what Lumia means?
http://www.wordmagicsoft.com/dictionary/es-en/lumia.php
Lumia is whore, hooker, prostitute, street-walker, streetwalker in Spanish.
Great naming convention for your 1st Windows Phone Nokia. *snicker*
Kesha says:
after purchasing nokia n900, never na ko ulit bibili ng any nokia product.. i used to be a nokia fan but now, #1 hater!!!
kikokix says:
Whether it means shedding of light or a simple whore, I have to agree that Lumia 800 is one heck of a gorgeous phone along with it’s cousin the Nokia N9.
I am an Android(Galaxy 5) and iOS (iPod Touch) user and I am considering Windows Phone 7 for my next phone.
Windows Phone 7 sure is promising, considering the OS is just about a year old. Think of Android and iOS in their early years. I am sure Microsoft along with their partnership with Nokia, have great plans for this platform.
karissa says:
so the only diff are the 8gb and 16gb storage and the carl zeiss lens.
Both running on Mango
How much would the Lumia 710 cost?
SpiderWak says:
Yung may mga nega comments na hindi pa naman nakagamit tumahimik muna kayo. Balik nalang kayo dito pag na try nyo na at na compare against Android para di kayo magmukhang tanga. hahaha.
lala says:
OS is good enough, even better than android at some points. but please nokia, please stick to basic. no ff cam, no sd slot.. hays..
I think WP OS golden age will come once APOLLO update starts rolling sometime next year. I’ve heard it will be a major update and will be a real game changer. Plus it will a NOKIA-centric one.
Wakocoke says:
Let’s give props to Nokia for designing sexy phones! But it’s already 2011! Its specifications, it pales in comparison with the almighty GNexus! 3.7″ is so 2007 and 720p resolution is the future!
savor says:
No Swipe UI eventhough given the freedom to customise user experience?
John says:
@another John
ok lets see. =)
@Wakocoke
running a full web on a wp7 is better than your best android.. just look at this review.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oraGeRex7Y4
see how smooth wp7 is?
John @FujiFilm_Camer says:
Nokia is making High Quality Phones for all the Users of Nokia. They are competing with the other Windows Phone manufacturers like apple. They will gonna spend money in order to be in top.. that is their marketing strategy.
Kikokix says:
I was able to try Windows Phone 7 in Jump Megamall earlier today and I might say, screenshots does not justify the platform. You have to see it in action and personally, I like it.
Lorenz says:
Hotdamn, I want that Nokia 710! Pero kung ihahabol pa ng Samsung Philippines ang Samsung Focus/Focus Flash dito sa Pinas, why not? *gives Samsung Philippines death glare*
Jonathan says:
Mr. Yuga, can you compare N9’s Meego with any Windows Phone? Now that Lumia 800 is coming soon, I think it would be interesting to see if Meego can challenge WP7. Also, it will help me decide if I will buy N9 or wait for Lumia 800 hehehe :)
pepeng Agimat says:
how much is the phone?
earl says:
available na ba to sa Pilipinas?
Dima says:
