The Nothing Phone 1 was just released and it’s already receiving its first firmware update. The Nothing Phone 1 gets a Nothing OS 1.1.0 patch which has some bug fixes, camera updates, new features, and the mandatory Android’s July security patch update.
Off to a rocky start, Nothing Phone 1 is now receiving its first software update to possibly fix those bugs that were experienced by its users. Of course, new features are also expected and one significant update is the integration of Tesla into the Nothing OS.
It works through a Quick Settings toggle that lets a user perform actions to a Tesla EV directly from the notification shade of the smartphone.
A new NFT Gallery widget is now included which lets users display digital artworks on their home screen.
In terms of Camera improvements, the usage of Glyph fill light while using Portrait Mode is now possible, noise reduction has been improved and a more dynamic range in terms of lower light conditions.
The ultrawide camera also has improved clarity and tweaked colors for more consistency for the two rear cameras.
Other updates coming along are the July 2022 Android security patch compliance, the fix for the lock screen bug in which the fingerprint icon is sometimes missing, and improvement on the face unlock. There are also updates on the Glyph interface and optimization on the battery life for the Nothing Phone 1’s standby power state.
