Octa-core Lenovo Golden Warrior A8 to launch July 18

Lenovo finally announces the official launch date for its Golden Warrior A8 – an LTE octa-core smartphone that is by far the cheapest we’ve seen. It’s slated to launch later this month with a price tag of no more than Php6K.

Lenovo Golden Warrior A8 specs:
5-inch display @ 1280 x 720 pixels, 294ppi, OGS Tech
MediaTek MK6592 1.7GHz octa-core CPU
16GB storage (expandable to 32GB via microSD)
13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash
5 megapixel front camera
WiFi, Bluetooth
2,000mAh battery
140.5 × 70.5 × 8.99mm
160 grams
Android 4.4 KitKat with Vibe UI 2.0

The Golden Warrior A8 will be officially launched this coming July 18 in China with prices ranging from $130 to $145 (approx. Php5.6K-Php6K). There’s still no news if the A8 will make its way to Philippine shores, but if it does it’s definitely going to be a threat to existing octa-core phones due to its affordable asking price.

Wow, sulit ito sa Php6k. Ok na yang 2Ah na battery. Trade off.

Kung sana ganyan rin yung price pagdating sa pinas. Pero may possibility na itataas pa yung price nian. Baka maging same price sa Cherry Mobile Magnum

Pero mas pipiliin ko pa rin yung A8 kung ganyan rin ung price. Better specs at that price, it’s a no-brainer.

Nope, Lenovo’s Golden Warrior phones is a non-GSM, CDMA-only device. It won’t work with any network here in the Philippines even if you buy from http://www.etotalk.com.

arent all mediatek cellphones bad with GPS? as in instead of seconds you wait up to half an hour for a lock?

    • Oona says:

Huh? I use it for navigation and lock in is just a few seconds. Not as fast as iPhone though.

Pano pala un dba ung MT6592 hindi 3G capable? Or typo error lang yan at MT6595 talaga?

  10. Vern says:

It has support for FDD-LTE which is used on GSM systems so pwede dapat yan sa atin. Most probably they have a variant for international use.

  12. Michael says:

Mas gugustuhin ko yang lenovo na yan kesa sa cherry mobile magnum ksi ang cherry mobile medyo niloloko nila ang tao yung mga specs na naka display pero d naman totoo
