Summary of Advantages

Display

When it comes to the display, the A80 and A70 are equal in terms of screen size. The A50, on the other hand, has a smaller screen but only by a mere 0.3-inch. It also has the most number of pixels in a screen and a confirmed Gorilla Glass protection. All of them sport Super AMOLED panels. However, we think that the A80 wins for having the most immersive screen by eliminating the notch.

Camera

All three phone sport triple rear cameras but the ones found on the A80 is a particular case due to its rotating mechanism, allowing the 48MP + 8MP + 3D Depth camera to also function as the device’s front camera. So, when it comes to overall photography, the A80 wins. We’re placing the A70 next for having a higher main and selfie shooters compared to the A50.

Storage

All three phones come with 128GB storage, but if you want to expand it, better get the A70 or A50 as it has a triple card tray with a dedicated slot for the microSD card. The A80, unfortunately, doesn’t have that option. Even a hybrid.

Performance

The A80 has the most powerful configuration among the three by sporting the new Snapdragon 730 chipset, Adreno 618 GPU, and 8GB of RAM. The A70 follows it, then the A50. So, if you want the most performance, choose the A80.

Battery

When it comes to battery, the A70 wins in this department for having a 4,500mAh capacity. The A50 follows this with a 4,000mAh battery, and taking the backseat is the A80 with a 3,700mAh. All of them support fast charging.

Which one is for you?

To summarize, if you want a big screen, go for the A80 or A70., but if you don’t like the notch, get the latter. For photography and best performance, choose the A80. If you want something that will last you longer, the A70 is the best bet. As for the price, we’re yet to know the SRP of the A80 and A70 in the Philippines, but we’re sure that the A50 is the cheapest, so if you’re on a budget, better get the A50.

A50 is really nice. I just don’t like the speaker. S10 and even the old iPhone 6 have better sound. Other than that, it doesn’t feel like mid-range.

Does these phones have any NFC? I wonder whats the final pricing for these phone?

They killed water resistance from the A series. Shame. I guess the price won’t event commensurate to the downgrade. Internals wise, yes, way better, almost flagship, but if prices come close to the S series, better get the grip on those for having the best details and internals.

what could be the downside of not having Gorilla Glass protection for A70 and A80?
