Samsung S8300 UltraTOUCH gets official

Listen to article

The new 8-megapixel touchscreen camera from Samsung has been officially announced by the Korean-based company — Samsung S8300 UltraTOUCH.

samsung s8300 phone samsung s8300 phone

2.8 inch, 240 x 400 pixels, OLED touchscreen
Accelerometer sensor
Proximity sensor for auto turn-off
80 MB shared memory
up to 16GB microSD
HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps
Bluetooth 2.0
8 MP (3264×2448 pixels) autofocus camera, video(VGA@30fps) with flash
Secondary videocall camera
Built-in GPS with A-GPS support
Stereo FM radio with RDS

I wonder why Samsung skipped the WiFi capability. That’s gonna turn off *a lot* of people. It’s a bit on the slim side though, at 12.7mm.

This model is somewhat similar to the LG Secret. Price and availability is TBA.

With regards to the keypads, its a lot better than Samsung Omnia, Omnia has a hard capacitive.. But you guys are right, what’s the use of this kind of touch phone if it doesn’t have a Wi-Fi connectivity…

Yep, it’s really disappointing and puzzling, they didn’t put in Wi-Fi capability on such a phone. What were they thinking?!
