Sony Xperia XZ Premium wins Best New Smartphone at MWC 2017

The Mobile World Congress 2017 has just concluded and after a week of showing off what the future of mobile can offer, GSMA, the pan-European organization that hosts MWC yearly in Barcelona, also held its annual Global Mobile Awards or GloMo awarding the best tech companies in various categories.

Sony has won the “Best new smartphone” award for their latest Xperia XZ Premium. It’s Sony’s current flagship with a stunning 4K display, Snapdragon 835 CPU and an updated 19 MP camera with 1/2.3” sensor size and capable of slow-mo videos in 960fps. All packed in a shiny chromium body.
