Specs Comparison: Firefly Mobile Aurii Envy vs Flash Plus 2

Listen to article

Just yesterday, Firefly Mobile announced its newest Android smartphone with a premium build dubbed as Aurii Envy. It does resemble the Xperia Z in design, and that should be fine for those who are looking for a quality handset without breaking the bank. But, how does it fare on paper with the recently announced Flash Plus 2? There about the same in pricing and specs, so let’s get on with this.

Firefly Mobile Aurii Envy advantages:

  • Gorilla Glass protection
  • Sony Exmor R mobile sensors
  • Higher megapixel counts for selfies
  • Bigger battery
  • More premium build

Flash Plus 2 advantages:

  • Newer processor
  • Better GPU
  • Front-facing LED flash
  • Faster Wi-Fi

On paper, choosing between the two would be about preference. Do you value design over power? Well, the Aurii Envy is for you. But if you want better processing power and graphics on a budget, the Flash Plus 2 is the way the go. Either of the two will be a good purchase but we are yet to see Firefly Mobile’s smartphone in action. As for the Flash Plus 2, you may read our review for it here.

The Firefly Mobile Aurii Envy will retail for Php 7,999 while the Flash Plus 2 is cheaper at Php 6,990

There about the same in pricing and specs, so let’s get on with this.

Don’t you mean “they’re” instead of “there”? Talk about grammar. Phew!

Corrections….

Envy:
Gorilla Glass 3
Sony Exmor RS sensor

FP2
Front-facing LED flash (Envy also has)
Faster Wi-Fi (specs in article are wrong: http://www.flash3c.com/flash-plus-2/tech-specs/)
also, even if FP2 had abgn wifi, it’s not faster because it has a. AC is faster, a is just 1999 tech and is pre-n

And the price, why is the 2/16GB FP2 version being compared to the 3/32GB version of the Envy?

Who’s editing this stuff? Come on Yuga, add effort!

Actually the price is similar at 6999 if you opt for the 2GB version of the Aurii. The 3GB version is 7999 while the Flash Plus 2’s own 3GB will be priced at 8499.

Is the camera on the Firefly noticeably better than that on the Flash Plus 2?

Much better if they will have camera shots poll just like they do on other brands.

yes, significantly better. if you’re a selfie person, you can even use the envy’s rear cam since the back is like a mirror :)
