The Oppo Find N5 receives certification prior to release

Listen to article

Early in 2025, Oppo’s forthcoming Find N5 foldable smartphone is anticipated to launch in China before going global as the OnePlus Open 2. The phone, model number CPH2671, has been identified in the Camera FV 5 database and in a few certifications, including SIRIM in Malaysia and SDPPI in Indonesia.

Since 12.6 MP is the effective resolution after 4-in-1 pixel binning, it should come as no surprise that the back camera mentioned in the Camera FV 5 database has a resolution of 50 MP.

According to reports, the front camera has 7.1 MP, which gives us 28.4 MP before pixel binning. Since it is not a typical resolution for photo sensors, we assume that cropping is also taking place and that a 32 MP selfie camera is likely in question. Reports include that the selfie camera has an f/2.4 aperture, while the primary back camera has an f/1.9 aperture.

Three 50 MP rear cameras with periscope telephoto, a 5,900 mAh battery that supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, and an IPX8 grade for water resistance are all features of the Oppo Find N5 and OnePlus Open 2, which are expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.
