Everytime I chat with some bloggers either online or during eyeballs/meet-up, one of the most frequently asked questions thrown at me was “how much are you earning from Adsense?” or “who else is earning significantly from AdSense?”. I don’t usually give out exact figures cause I don’t know if it’s really okay for my fellow bloggers that I reveal their earnings to others.
Anyway, I’m just breaking the news here that Markku of RebelPixel is already a six-figure blogger, at least in Philippine peso terms. His biggest earner would be his Lyrics blog at lyrics.rebelpixel.com.
Well, who else? Everybody knows Connie is already a six-figure blogger and I guess close to getting the 7-figure anytime soon. :D I got into the six figures about 2 or 3 months ago but I never realized it until now.

Do I count kahit based ako dito? Although, none of my earnings are from adsense. It’s from contract pay. Approx. 490USD per month.
Andre says:
heh if its pesos, 6 figures is small compared to worldwide bloggers, 6 figure pesos is 4 figure dollars :)
but it feels still, good doesnt it :)
Andre says:
ack * it feel good still
ManuelV says:
Whoa… You’re hitting at least US$1,785/month two or three months ago? Congratulations, Yuga! It’s inspiring to learn of your success, and this will help motivate other Pinoy bloggers to continue working hard. :-)
Abe Olandres says:
Hi Manuel,
As Markku and I hinted, it’s in Philippine Peso and yearly. That means, if you get around Php10K a month from AdSense alone, that makes you a six-figure blogger for the whole year (~Php120k/annually).
Not a lot really much though but it’s a start. My figures are based on my blog here alone though and does not include other blog and non-blog sites which I have AdSense running.
ManuelV says:
Not a lot? Saan mo naman pupulutin ang P120K? :-)
Your post got me so excited, I got confused and called you Yuga instead of Abe.
Basta. Even if it’s in Pesos, and even if it’s an annual figure, who would’ve thought that publishing online would bring income to Pinoys, right?
Imagine, Pinoys can put up a blog for free at Blogspot, for example. For a low internet cafe fee, they can write and publish online, earn and bring dollars into the country.
Not a lot? Guess again. =)
Andre says:
100k a year?
whats min dialy wage? P250x365 = P91,250, thats almost 6 figures :)
markku says:
Uy special mention ako ah! :) 100k a year for blogging isn’t really big in peso terms, but that’s enough to sustain my “miscellaneous” spendings.
What’s really important is that blogging can take you places, it can be fun and profitable too. Just keep the day job. ;)
Andre says:
So are there any pinoy 6 figure USD$ bloggers?
markku says:
Andre, your math’s good, but your computation is bad. It should be 22x250x12 (or 13).
That’s less than 70,000 pesos a year.
Mike says:
The industry is promising. US blogger salaries can run into six figures.
Abe Olandres says:
@ andre
No Pinoy ($) 6-figure bloggers yet. But I heard from the bushes that some Pinoy is earning almost Php 0.5M a month from scraping. But that’s not legit. hehehe
AnP says:
what is scraping?
Andre says:
whos that scraper! :) heh hmm $10,000 US a month, name people, need a name
Andre says:
Scraping, taking content from other pages, usually for use to put op other websites, if done through automated processes (scripts etc) can make a lot of spam websites which generate income through some kind of advertising. Might earn little and the sites are crap but in the end a lot of a little makes a lot. So lets all hope Google gets smarter and smarter so spammers won’t win.
