Apple has launched the second-generation AirTag, and it’s now available on the Apple Philippines website with local pricing. Although it retains the same design, the new AirTag has some important improvements aimed at improved tracking and finding.

The biggest improvement is the use of Apple’s second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, also found in the iPhone 17 lineup and newer Apple Watches. This allows Precision Finding to work up to 50% farther, guiding users with clearer on-screen directions, haptics, and sound. Precision Finding now also works with Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 or later.
Apple also upgraApple has also improved the Bluetooth and speaker, making the alerts 50% louder, which should be beneficial if the AirTag is concealed in a bag or a room. It retains its compatibility with the Find My network and location sharing with trusted individuals such as airlines, while maintaining Apple’s privacy features.

In the Philippines, the Apple AirTag 2 is priced at PHP 1,990 for a single unit, while a four-pack costs PHP 6,790, and it is now available for purchase directly from Apple’s official website.
