Apple has officially unveiled the iPhone 16e, the latest addition to its iPhone 16 lineup. This new budget-friendly model brings powerful features at a more accessible price point, making it an attractive option for users looking to experience Apple’s latest technology without breaking the bank.

The iPhone 16e sports a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a resolution of 2532 x 1170 pixels at 460 ppi. It features the same sleek design with a Ceramic Shield front and a durable glass back, available in two matte finishes: black and white.

Under the hood, the iPhone 16e is powered by Apple’s A18 chip, the same processor found in the standard iPhone 16 models. The device also introduces Apple’s first in-house designed cellular modem, the C1, which promises improved energy efficiency.

One of the standout features is the new 48MP Fusion camera system with an integrated 2x Telephoto lens. The front-facing camera is a 12MP sensor, capable of 4K video recording.

The iPhone 16e will be available for pre-order starting February 21, with general availability beginning February 28. Pricing starts at $599 for the 128GB model.

The iPhone 16e replaces the old iPhone SE nomenclature of Apple when releasing their cheapest iPhone models.
