Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has significantly bolstered its efforts in protecting its network from illicit content and cybercrime, including those related to online sexual abuse and exploitation of children (OSAEC), illegal gambling, phishing/banking, terrorism, and voyeurism.

As of the end of January 2023, the company has blocked around 350,000 URLs—more than double the number the previous year.
Converge CEO Dennis Anthony Uy noted the alarming number of requests to these sites and assured that the company is willing to work with enforcement agencies to curb cybercrime, particularly OSAEC.
Data from the network showed that Converge has increased their list of restricted sites by 150% (from about 100,000 URLs in 2021) and has already denied over 2.1 billion requests to these web addresses—a tenfold increase from 144 million requests in the same year.
As part of Safer Internet Month (February), Converge is hosting a series of webinars to discuss how to create a safer online experience for children.
The company also partnered with the UK-based Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) in July 2022, granting permission to use the IWF’s master list of criminal webpages for URL blocking.
They have also coordinated with enforcement agencies such as the National Bureau of Investigation and the Philippine National Police Cybercrime division to report any illegal content online.
