DFA launches online passport portal for first-time OFWs

The Department of Foreign Affairs has launched an online portal for first-time overseas Filipino workers that will let the government-recognized licensed recruitment agencies to secure a slot for their employees’ passport appointment.

 

This was created and launched amid the challenges and difficulties that the public is experiencing in the passport online scheduling system. The DFA announced that the portal aims to make the passport application process faster, easier and safer for first-time OFWs. Moreover, this portal is separate from the online appointment portal for the general public.

The said system can accommodate 1,000 passport appointment slots daily, which will be allotted to 170 accredited recruitment agencies.
