Drivers can now finish their Online Theoretical Driving Course

Listen to article

Land Transportation Office Region 7 (LTO-7) will launch an online theoretical driving course (OTDC) by the end of 2024 with the goal of providing a cutting-edge, technologically advanced substitute for conventional in-person instruction.

Under this plan, drivers residing in Central Visayas can  conveniently apply online for driver’s licenses in a flexible manner.

According to LTO 7 Regional Director Glen Galario, the goal is to help professionals and students alike manage their time while completing everyday tasks and application processes.

The process of completing this application is now more convenient and efficient for applicants thanks to digital processing. The goal of expanding the online application is to improve the efficiency and speed of government services.

Gallardo claims that this is consistent with the development objective of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

To be able to obtain a student permit, applicants are required to complete a 15-hour OTDC program.

88 percent of the total certificates awarded in 2023 were among the 8,185 Theoretical Driving Course certifications that LTO-7 had issued as of June 2024 through its Malasakit on Wheels—EPatrol Mobile Service program.
