Globe reports improved subscriber experience due to June & July 2021 network builds
Globe says that the installation of 199 new cell sites and completion of at least 1,619 site upgrades in June and July of 2021, has resulted in better call, text, and data browsing experience for more than 640,000 Globe customers.
According to the telco, these builds in strategic towns and cities across the country are noted to have a 100% improvement in downloading videos, web browsing, and the speed of connectivity when doing internet-related activities. The improvement of services resulted in longer data usage of customers which increased by as much as 100% in areas where the latest network rollouts and builds were made.
“We bring the latest technology and services through our network builds and modernization despite the challenges of the different quarantine protocols brought by the pandemic. By pushing for the strategic builds and site upgrades, we were able to address the demands for connectivity not only in highly urbanized areas but also new locations where our presence is equally needed,” said Joel Agustin, Globe Senior Vice President for Program Delivery, Network Technical Group.
Augustin also added that the rollout and network builds paved the way for an additional 349,000 plus new subscribers and new mobile data/internet users.
