Grab to integrate HOOQ video streaming in their app

Grab, one of the most popular ride-hailing company in Asia is set to integrate video streaming service, HOOQ, in their mobile app.

In a report by TechCrunch, the HOOQ video streaming service platform has been chosen by Grab to host the in-app streaming for users. This feature doesn’t require logging in, but existing HOOQ users may sign in using their accounts. Note that all of HOOQ’s video content library can be accessed via the Grab app.

“Our strategy is around finding digital partners where we are complementary. We are building our tech and partnerships so that customers can easily bump into us without having to download an app or sign up to a different service.” – Peter Bithos, HOOQ CEO

The HOOQ-Grab feature rolled-out earlier this month in Indonesia. No word yet if it will expand in other countries.
