HTC has confirmed the launch date of its upcoming smartphone in its U-series line.
In a teaser photo, HTC only showed a peek of the device’s frame, but aside from the tagline “Are U ready?” (hinting the phone line) and the date—which is on May 18th—no other details are mentioned.
Well, there is a highlight on Viverse meaning it will be compatible to VR and AR integration in HTC’s own metaverse platform.
However, the key specs and some live photos of an HTC phone, purportedly the HTC U23 Pro 5G, has leaked last week.
Some of the specs revealed are AMOLED display, Snapdragon 7 Gen chipset, a 108-megapixel camera with OIS, 4600mAh battery; configured with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
There’s also a 3.5mm audio jack placed on the top side and USB-C on the bottom.
The leak also mentioned the phone’s material with the back cover and its frame being plastic. We also see the power button which looks like it’s integrated with a fingerprint sensor.
We should know more about the upcoming HTC U-series device once it launches on May 18.
