Insta360 has just launch their latest flagship 360 camera – the Insta360 X4. now on its fourth-generation 360° action cam.
At the heart of the X4 is its improved 8K video resolution, capturing 360° footage at 30fp. This is Insta360’s highest resolution to date.
The new X4 also now offers 5.7K video at 60fps which previously at 30fps, as well as cinematic 4K at 100fps for slow-motion effects.
It also boasts a 72MP 360° photo mode and one of the X4’s standout features is its “Shoot First, Frame Later” capability. By capturing the entire 360° scene, users can freely reframe their footage after the fact, ensuring you’ll never miss a crucial moment.
This is further enhanced by the camera’s AI-powered editing tools, which can automatically detect subjects and create dynamic, shareable clips. Plus finally they now have a plugin reframe for adobe premiere for faster editing workflow.
The new Insta360 X4 is designed is now more rugged. It boasts a waterproof rating of 33ft (10m) out of the box, with an optional Invisible Dive Case allowing for underwater use up to 164ft (50m).
The camera also features removable lens guards, protecting the optics from scratches and impacts. Previously, users need to purchase this separately and thus need to stick it to the lens which kinda messy for some. But with the X4 it has a dedicated slot to easily remove and replace in case of accidental breakage.
Powering the X4’s performance is a beefy improved and increased sized 2290mAh battery, providing up to 135 minutes of recording time at 5.7K30fps – a 67% improvement over the previous X3 model. Other notable features include FlowState stabilization, 360° horizon lock, gesture control, and voice commands for hands-free operation. It now has a loop recording, auto dash and is now compatible with helmet intercoms. for Bikers, it can now be connected to a garmin or apple watch plus you can now overlay your gps stats and more when you export a video. and they also added Motion ND that mimics motion blur effect.
The Insta360 X4 is now available for purchase with the starting price of $561.99 (Official Price for Philippines: 30,990) for the standard bundle while accessory bundles, including options tailored for motorcycling, diving, skiing, and more, range from $596 to $734.
