Intel has announced its new Core Ultra 200S Plus series desktop processors, which include the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and Core Ultra 5 250K Plus. The new chips bring more cores, higher speeds, and new tools aimed at gamers and content creators. They will be available through retail partners starting March 26, 2026.

The company said the new processors offer improved gaming and multitasking performance compared to earlier models in the Core Ultra lineup. The Core Ultra 7 270K Plus now has 24 cores (8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores), while the Core Ultra 5 250K Plus has 18 cores (6 performance cores and 12 efficiency cores). Both processors also feature up to 900 MHz higher die-to-die frequency, which helps improve communication between parts of the chip.
Intel also introduced a new feature called the Intel Binary Optimization Tool. This software layer helps improve performance in certain games by optimizing how the processor handles instructions, even if the software was originally optimized for another processor or platform.
The processors support DDR5 memory speeds up to 7200 MT/s, with support for memory overclocking up to 8000 MT/s through compatible BIOS profiles. They will also support new 4-Rank CUDIMM memory modules, which can provide up to 128 GB per module on supported systems.
The new CPUs remain compatible with existing 800-series chipset motherboards. Intel said the processors will start at $299 for the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and $199 for the Core Ultra 5 250K Plus. Based on current exchange rates, this is about ₱16,700 and ₱11,100 in Philippine peso.
