MediaTek has introduced the Dimensity 7500, its latest smartphone chipset designed for mainstream devices and the successor to the Dimensity 7400.

Built using a 4nm process, the Dimensity 7500 is the first MediaTek chipset to use Arm’s new C1 CPU cores. It features four Arm C1 Pro cores running up to 2.6GHz and four Arm C1 Nano cores clocked up to 2.0GHz.

The chipset also introduces the MediaTek NPU 850, which is designed for on-device generative AI tasks. MediaTek said the new NPU delivers more than twice the AI processing performance compared to the previous generation and supports features such as speech recognition, smart replies, and notification summaries without depending entirely on cloud processing.

For displays, the Dimensity 7500 supports resolutions up to 1344 × 2800 with refresh rates reaching 144Hz. The chip also supports secondary displays for foldable devices.

Camera support goes up to 200MP sensors, while video recording supports 4K HDR at 30fps. The processor also supports LPDDR5 memory, UFS 3.1 storage, Wi-Fi connectivity improvements, and HDR playback standards including Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
