MediaTek has introduced the Dimensity 7500, its latest smartphone chipset designed for mainstream devices and the successor to the Dimensity 7400. Built using a 4nm process, the Dimensity 7500 is the first MediaTek chipset to use Arm’s new C1 CPU cores. The chipset also introduces the MediaTek NPU 850, which is designed for on-device generative AI tasks. Qualcomm has officially launched its latest chipset, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. The chipset is made on a 4nm manufacturing process, and is the first midrange chipset to feature this. The chipset replaces the older Snapdragon 778G with claims that it handles graphics 20 percent faster than its predecessor. Qualcomm has revealed their new Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset at an event in India. It’s positioned to be an affordable 5G chipset produced through a 4nm process technology fit for budget-friendly devices.
