iPhone 18 Pro models may feature 24MP front camera

Listen to article

A new rumor claims that the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max may come with a 24MP selfie camera. If true, the upgrade could improve selfies, video calls, and low-light photos.

The information came from tipster Whylab, who said the higher-resolution front camera may be limited to the Pro models only. This matches an earlier report from November last year, which also mentioned that Apple was planning to upgrade the front camera to 24MP. However, the earlier report suggested the change could apply to the entire iPhone 18 lineup.

If the new rumor is correct, only the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will get the better front camera, while the standard models may keep the current setup.

Aside from the selfie camera, the iPhone 18 Pro models are also rumored to feature a smaller Dynamic Island. Some parts of the Face ID system may be moved under the display, which could give users more screen space.

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in September this year. The company may also introduce the iPhone Fold at the same event.

For now, Apple has not confirmed these details.
