Lenovo S5000 3G unofficially lands for Php12,299

Announced back in September to be a competitor to the likes of the Nexus 7, the Lenovo S5000 came with 3G connectivity and priced at just $169.

While it has not yet been formally released by Lenovo in the Philippines, a few units have found their way in the country via VillMan.

Lenovo S5000 specs:
7.0-inch IPS LCD display @ 1280×720 pixels
Mediatek MediaTek 8125 1.2GHz quad-core processor
PowerVR SGX 544 GPU
1GB RAM
16GB internal storage
HSPA+3G
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 4.0
GPS
5MP rear camera
1.6MP front-facing camera
Android 4.2 Jellybean (OTA to 4.3)
3450mAH Li-Polymer

It’s supposed to be only $169 (Php7,500) in the United States but VillMan has made the parallel import and priced it at Php12,299.

Doesn’t seem like a good value. I would probably go for the Asus MemoPad HD7

The A3000 has the same specs for P2300 less. The only difference is this is thinner & lighter.
