Google’s Gemini app lands on Mac

Mac users now have access to Gemini, which enables them to utilize artificial intelligence directly from their desktop. Google has released an update that introduces a native macOS app that works seamlessly with your Mac.

Gemini gets accessed at any time via a simple keyboard shortcut, minimizing the need to switch between apps. It provides enhanced assistance by verifying files, responding to inquiries, and even looking at what’s on your screen.

Gemini can also create images and videos, making it useful for school projects or fun ideas. Compared to apps from OpenAI and Anthropic, Gemini is the latest to arrive on Mac.

The app works on macOS 15 and newer, and it’s free to download, with optional paid plans for more features.
