According to a report by Interaksyon, four international video game development studios are preparing to open their own hubs in our country.
They are already in legal stages as mentioned by Alvin Juban, president of the Game Development Association of the Philippines (GDAP), to the news website. He also said that a studio would need a workforce of 300 from the creative segment, if things goes smoothly, and the reason behind the queries of the studios could be the costly international operation in China.
The GDAP is assisting with the negotiations and they are confident that least one game studio will push through with their plans. Having a major game studio (i.e. Electronic Arts, Blizzard, Sega) on our soil can help us soar high in the game development industry.
True hindi pa ganon ka okay Internet natin compare sa ibang bansa, but marami narin International companies nan dito and working naman sa kanila Internet natin.. I’m guessing same set up like (HP, Fujitsu, Accenture, etc) the servers will still be located sa cloud infrastructure nila.. bale Managed Service siya, dito sa atin yun systems monitoring/admin, etc.. well hoping ganon nga :) ah.. GM??? :)
Sigurado ba sila? But we have one of the slowest internet connection speeds in the world. How will they conduct their BETA testing?
