Shortly after MediaTek’s announcement of the Dimensity 9400, OPPO announced the launch date of the Find X8 Series set on October 24 in China.
The Series will include the Find X8, Find X8 Pro, and the Find X8 Pro Satellite Communication version.
Previously, we had a glimpse of the vanilla Find X8 through leaked live images. According to these leaks, the phone maintains a circular camera island and flat frame.
On paper, the Pro model will likely feature a quad-camera setup with dual periscope telephoto cameras. While the vanilla model will sport three cameras with a single periscopic telephoto camera.
The Find X8 Series, or at least the Pro model is also likely to feature a Camera Control button similar to the new iPhone 16 Series.
At the front, the phones will feature micro, quad-curved OLED displays. Other expected features are Android 15-based ColorOS 15 out of the box; support for 50W wireless charging; and an off-network communications, namely, ‘BeaconLink’.
Other reports also mentioned that the Find X8 and X8 Pro have been certified in India, Indonesia, and Thailand, suggesting a subsequent global launch.
Furthermore, there’s also an Ultra model on the horizon that is said to boast an unannounced ‘Snapdragon 8 Elite’ chip with an expected launch in January 2025.
