President Rodrigo Duterte has signed more laws granting 25-year franchise extensions to six telecommunication companies, two broadcasting firms, and a state university.
Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) on Tuesday, released the following measures all approved and signed by Duterte last Friday, April 8, 2022:
Telco firms granted a 25-year franchise extension:
RA No. 11674 – Mati Telephone Corporation
RA No. 11675 – Odiongan Telephone Corporation
RA No. 11676 – R.C Yulo Telephone System, Inc.
RA No. 11677 – Marbel Telephone System, Inc.
RA No. 11678 – Meridian Telekoms, Inc.
RA No. 11679 – Bicol Telephone and Telegraph, Inc.
Broadcast firms granted a 25-year franchise:
RA No. 11673 – Sulu-Tawi-Tawi Broadcasting Foundation, Inc.
RA No. 11681 – Capricom Broadcasting Network
State university with 25-year franchise:
RA No. 11680 – Southern Luzon State University granted a 25-year franchise to operate for educational and other related purposes within its campuses in Quezon Province.
