Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G now official
Qualcomm has added another 5G-ready mobile processor in its 7-series, the Snapdragon 750G. The chipset claims to bring global 5G connectivity and HDR mobile gaming.
The chipset is made on an 8nm process. It has Qualcomm Kryo 570 octa-core CPU with a clock speed of up to 2.3GHz, and a faster Adreno 619 GPU which performs 10% faster in rendering graphics.\
Paired with an X52 5G Modem-RF System, the chipset supports Sub-6 and mmWave, SA and NSA, TDD, FDD, and Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS); global 5G banding, and global multi-SIM. It has a download speed up to 3.7 Gbps and is compatible with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.
It features the latest 5th gen Qualcomm Artificial Intelligence Engine that boasts more than 4 TOPS performance for intuitive, realistic gameplay. The chipset also showcases select Snapdragon Elite Gaming features such as True HDR Fast Blend for better graphics rendering, Qualcomm Game Color Plus for boosting color and saturation, and Adreno Updatable GPU Drivers for upgrading GPUs without OS updates. It also supports 120Hz displays, 10-bit color depth, and 2020 color gamut.
As for the camera, the chipset can record up to 4K HDR videos and capture photos up to 192MP. It has an always-on Qualcomm Sensing Hub for environment awareness and instant AI virtual assistance, AI-based echo cancellation and background noise suppression for voice chats, and multiplayer gaming and streaming on upcoming 5G cloud gaming platforms. The processor also comes with Quick Charge 4+ Technology for wired fast charging.
For biometrics, it supports fingerprint, voice commands, face unlock, and Iris scan.
Qualcomm recently confirmed that the Snapdragon 750G will debut on an upcoming Xiaomi smartphone. Consumers may see Snapdragon 750G-powered smartphones by the end of 2020 to first half of 2021.
