Samsung has officially confirmed its October 21 launch event, where it will unveil its first Android XR headset, codenamed Project Moohan. The event, titled “Worlds Wide Open,” marks a shift from Samsung’s typical Unpacked format, teasing what it calls “immersive, everyday experiences.”

Developed in partnership with Google and Qualcomm, Project Moohan is part of Samsung’s broader mobile AI vision, built around Android XR, an AI-optimized platform designed to power next-generation immersive experiences. The company describes it as a blend of practical utility and extended-reality innovation, aiming to redefine how people interact with digital environments.
The launch will stream live on Samsung’s YouTube channel at 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. PT). Pre-launch reservations are already open, offering a $100 credit redeemable for additional products. While pricing remains under wraps, reports suggest the headset could retail for around $1,800 ( PHP 104,695 ).
