Now, this time, we’re having a rundown of budget-friendly smartphones that came out during the first quarter of 2025. Take note, these smartphones are priced at the maximum limit of PHP 5,000.

So, here’s our list of budget-friendly smartphones.

realme Note 60

First on our list is the realme Note 60. This is an entry-level smartphone that was released last January. For a starting price of PHP 4,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant, it features a UNISOC T612 chip. The phone sports a 6.74”  IPS LCD display with support for 90Hz refresh rate, enough to navigate through socials, apps, and net.

As per cameras,  the realme Note 60 carries a 32MP rear lens with a f/1.8 and a 5MP selfie lens housed in a tear-drop notch at the front. The rear lens is capable to shoot up to a max of 1080P@30FPS. The phone runs on Android 14 skinned with realme UI 5.0.

The realme Note 60 packs a 5000mAh battery pack with 10W support of wired charging.  It features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual-SIM, and IP64 rating. The phone weighs 187g and is available in Voyage Blue and Marble Black colorway.

TECNO Spark Go 1s 

Next on our list is the TECNO Spark Go 1s. This smartphone accentuates a 6.67” HD+ Display with a 90Hz refresh rate support. At the front, it houses an 8MP selfie lens in a punch-hole design. You can also use the 13MP main camera with a f/1.8 placed in a square-like module together with the AI lens.

The TECNO Spark Go 1s is powered by a MediaTek Helio G50 processor and runs on Android 14 with HiOS 14 skin. The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 15W support of charging.

This budget offering from TECNO is available in Startrail Black and Glittery White color way. The TECNO Spark Go 1s is priced at PHP 4,699 for 4GB + 64GB Configuration.

nubia V70 Max 

And now, the nubia V70 Max is also part of our list of smartphones under PHP 5,000. By the way, we have a full-review of the nubia V70 Max which you can check out on YouTube and on our website.  So, what do we get on the nubia V70 Max priced at PHP 4,699?

The Nubia V70 Max features a  6.9” display with HD+ resolution and a refresh rate that caps at 120Hz. A UNISOC T606 processor powers the unit with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. The said unit runs on the latest Android 15 with MyOS15 skinned on top.

The phone has a 50MP main lens and an 8MP front camera. Having a 50MP main lens for a phone priced below 5 grands is already adequate for capturing great photos and videos.

The nubia V70 Max is fueled by a 6000mAh battery with 22.5W support of charging. It also features an IP54 rating and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. You can avail yours in Lake Green,  Galactic Gray, and Coral Pink color-way.

Infinix smart 9 HD

Another budget offering for this segment is coming from Infinix, meet the Infinix SMART 9 HD.  This smartphone is only priced at PHP 3,699 for the 4GB + 64GB variant.

The Infinix SMART 9 HD sports a 6.7” HD+ Display with 90Hz of screen refresh rate and you can see at front the 8MP selfie shooter placed in a punch-hole notch.  As per the main camera, it has a 13MP main camera with a bright LED Flash.

The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G50 processor paired with 4G RAM and runs on Android 14 with Go Edition OS and XOS 14 skin.

In terms of power, the phone has a 5000mAh battery pack inside and is supported by 10W wired charging. Other features like the 300% speaker volume,  facial and fingerprint sensor capability are the ones you can get for its price.

You also have the option of getting yours in Metallic Black, Neo Titanium, Coral Gold, and Mint Green color way via infix’s physical and online stores.

vivo Y04 

Lastly, we have the vivo Y04 on our list. This entry-level smartphone offering of vivo features a 6.74” HD+ Display with 90Hz refresh rate. The vivo Y04 boasts an IP64 rating, its military grade shock resistance built, and 200% speaker volume.

The phone captures image and video through its 13MP main camera and 5MP selfie shooter with a f/2.2 on both.

Powering the vivo Y04 is a UNISOC T7225 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. It runs on FunTouchOS 14 based on Android 14. The software lets you enjoy the power of AI Erase, so decluttering messy images wouldn’t be a hassle.

The unit is supplied by a 5000mAh battery pack with support for 15W wired charging. This supports facial and fingerprint security via its side-mounted sensor.

The vivo Y04 is available in vivo stores, kiosks, and online stores. You can choose your vivo Y04 in Violet, Green, and Gold colors.

And if you’re planning to get a bigger storage, the 4GB + 128GB configuration is also available for PHP 5,299, a bit higher from what we’re featuring. Although, storage is expandable via microSD of up to 1TB.

There you have it. These are the smartphone on my list that you can purchase under PHP 5,000 in the Philippine market.
