In this article, we’re doing a rundown of the recent smartphones released in the Philippines during the first half of 2025—specifically priced under PHP 5,000.

So, without further ado, let’s get right into the list.

DISCLAIMER: The smartphones featured in this list were officially released in the Philippines during H1 2025 (January to June). Listed prices here reflect their suggested retail prices (SRP), while some entries reflect discounted prices as of July 2025.

Infinix SMART 10

In no particular order, we’re kicking things off with the Infinix SMART 10.

It retails for PHP 4,599 for the 4GB+64GB model, but the 128GB and 256GB variants are currently on sale for almost the same price that don’t go past the Php5,000 mark.

Specs-wise, it features a UNISOC T7250 (12nm) SoC, runs Android 15 overlaid with XOS 15.1 out of the box, and supports expandable storage. Flip to the front, it gets a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD display running at up to 120Hz refresh rate. There’s a punch hole notch up top housing its 8-megapixel selfie shooter.

At the rear, it sports an 8-megapixel main camera. Battery-wise, it packs a 5000mAh unit paired with 15W of charging, and for added protection, the phone is IP64-rated for dust and splash resistance.

Other notable specs include dual stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Infinix SMART 9 HD

Another one from Infinix is the SMART 9 HD and it’s priced a bit cheaper than the first entry, coming in at PHP 3,699.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Helio G50 (12nm) chipset, paired with 4GB and 64GB of expandable storage. Its software is a generation older though, running Android 14 Go Edition with XOS 14 skin on top.

For the display, it sports a 6.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a max 90Hz refresh rate, and a punch hole notch housing an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

There’s a 13-megapixel main camera at the back. The battery is rated 5000mAh capacity with support for 10W of charging.

Other key specs include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Infinix SMART 9 HD

OPPO A5i

Next, we have the OPPO A5i, the first Snapdragon-powered phone on this list, and it’s among the toughest ones, too.

Under the hood, it packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1 (11nm), configured with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage. Software-wise, it has Android 14 with ColorOS 14 on top.

The phone sports a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel, runs up to 90Hz refresh rate, and gets a layer of reinforced glass for enhanced protection. Adding to that is military-grade shock resistance (MIL-STD-810H) and IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Up front, it has a punch hole notch with a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. Meanwhile, at the rear, you’ll find an 8-megapixel main camera.

In terms of battery, it has a 5100mAh unit, and a notable 45W of fast charging. Just like every entry-level phone, it features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm headphone jack to boot.

The OPPO A5i retails for PHP 4,699.

realme C71

Coming from OPPO’s sister brand, we have the realme C71. Despite having a Suggested Retail Price (SRP) of PHP 5,499, buyers can typically get this at a discount, and as of writing, the realme C71 4GB+64GB variant goes for PHP 4,999 via Shopee.

For the price, you get a UNISOC T7250 SoC (12nm) powered by realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15 out of the box. Display-wise, it sports a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and a punch hole notch with a 5-megapixel selfie shooter underneath.

There’s a 50-megapixel main camera at the back, and the phone packs a large 6300mAh battery paired with 45W of charging. Just like the OPPO A5i, the realme C71 gets both military-grade shock resistance, as well as IP54 dust and water resistance.

This phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a decorative LED pulse light at the rear.

POCO C71

Weirdly enough, there’s another C71 model but this one’s from POCO instead. The POCO C71 is among, if not one of the largest phones on this list.

It’s got a relatively large 6.88-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen running at a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a dew drop notch housing an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

The same UNISOC T7250 (12nm) SoC powers the POCO C71 and it also runs the latest Android 15 out of the box, overlaid with Xiaomi HyperOS. Configurations include either 3GB+64GB or 4GB+128GB, both of which have expandable storage to boot.

At the rear, it gets a 32-megapixel main camera, and the battery is rated at 5200mAh capacity with 15W of charging. The phone is IP64-rated as well for dust and splash resistance.

Other notable specs include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The POCO C71 starts at PHP 3,699 for the 64GB trim, and the 128GB variant goes for PHP 4,499.

Redmi A5

Another one from Xiaomi is the Redmi A5 which has a striking resemblance to the POCO C71 in terms of looks and features.

It packs the same 6.88-inch HD+ IPS LCD 120Hz screen, the same UNISOC T7250 chip with Xiaomi HyperOS based on Android 15 (albeit it’s a Go Edition) and has the same storage configurations.

The punch hole notch is identical as well, housing the same 8-megapixel selfie shooter. And the rear camera? Well, it’s also a 32-megapixel main sensor.

Its battery is weirdly the same, too, rated at 5200mAh capacity with 15W of charging. Of course, it also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Redmi A5 goes slightly cheaper with retail prices of PHP 3,599 and PHP 4,099 for the 64GB and 128GB models, respectively.

itel Power 70

Up next, we have an entry from itel, the itel Power 70.

Powering this phone is the MediaTek Helio G50 Ultimate (12nm) SoC configured with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage, and it ships with Android 14 overlaid with itel OS 14.5 out of the box.

It has a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen running at 120Hz refresh rate, and a punch hole notch housing an 8-megapixel selfie camera. There’s a 13-megapixel main shooter at the back, and inside is a large 6000mAh battery paired with 18W of charging.

The phone is IP54-rated as well for dust and splash resistance, and as expected, it has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The itel Power 70 sets you back PHP 4,899.

HONOR X5b Plus

Next on this list is the HONOR X5b Plus.

The phone runs on the MediaTek Helio G36 (12nm) chipset, combined with 4GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. For software, it features MagicOS 8.0 on top of Android 14.

Its display is a 6.56-inch HD+ TFT LCD panel capped at 90Hz refresh rate, and has a water drop notch with a 5-megapixel selfie shooter underneath.

The rear camera is a decent one, featuring a 50-megapixel sensor. Battery-wise, it packs a 5200mAh unit with 10W of charging. Other notable specs include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

However, unlike its more expensive siblings like the HONOR X9c, it doesn’t have any shock, dust or splash resistance ratings.

The HONOR X5v Plus is priced at PHP 4,999.

Now, there’s actually a regular HONOR X5b with the key differences being the cameras and battery capacity.

The standard X5b features a 13-megapixel main sensor, compared to the 50-megapixel camera on the Plus version. Its 5100mAh battery is also slightly smaller than the 5200mAh unit found in the Plus.

Other features are pretty much the same: a 6.56-inch HD+ TFT LCD screen with a 5-megapixel selfie shooter, a MediaTek Helio G36 chip configured with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage, and 10W of charging.

Also present here are the side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Then, we have the vivo Y04.

Under the hood, it’s equipped with the UNISOC T7225 (12 nm) chipset, and is available in either 64GB or 128GB variants with 4GB RAM and expandable storage.

On the software side, it runs Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14 skin. Flip it over, you’ll be greeted by a 6.74-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen capped at 90Hz refresh rate, and you’ll notice the dew drop notch with a 5-megapixel selfie camera.

At the rear protrudes a dual camera setup led by a 13-megaapixel main shooter with an auxiliary lens.

The battery is rated at 5500mAh capacity paired with 15W of charging. The phone has a tough build quality thanks to its military-grade shock resistance (MIL-STD-810H) and IP64 dust and splash resistance.

In addition, it gets a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The vivo Y04 starts at PHP 4,699 for the 64GB trim.

nubia V70 Max

Now, for the second-to-last entry, we have the nubia V70 Max from ZTE.

As the name suggests, it’s got the largest display out of the bunch: a 6.9-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel running at a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It has a dew drop notch up above with an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

The camera island at the rear is a bit excessive, with seemingly four lenses to see, but nubia only mentioned a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel auxiliary lens.

The phone is equipped with the UNISOC Tiger T606 (12nm) SoC with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.

Its battery is quite large, too, rated at 6000mAh capacity, paired with 22.5W of charging. It also gets an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.

On top of that, it comes with DTS Audio tuning, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The nubia V70 Max retails for PHP 4,699.
