The Honor X7e is now official, with its own webpage revealing its full specifications. Most people will likely get drawn to the rather large 7,500 mAh battery. Here’s everything to know about the brand’s latest entry-level device.

The highlighted feature on the Honor X7e is, as mentioned, its battery. The brand claims that the 7,500 mAh battery pack installed in the smartphone can survive over 1000+ charge cycles and 6+ years. That is an optimistic promise of longevity. Should the battery run on empty, Honor’s 45W SuperCharge can top it up speedily.

Battery life should be excellent as the Honor X7e carries a 6.61-inch TFT LCD display with an HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It surely won’t be as power-hungry as flagship-grade panels, which means you can spend more time watching videos or scrolling your social media before the device needs to hit the plug.

The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chipset, mated to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Should this amount of RAM be lacking for users’ multitasking needs, virtual RAM expansion to 16GB is also an option.

Other highlighted features include a 50-megapixel “AI Ultra Clear” camera with an auxiliary lens. Up front is a run-of-the-mill 5-megapixel shooter that should be fine for selfies and video calls.

The device also flaunts its durability with a 5-star SGS Premium Performance certification of Drop & Crush resistance. There is assurance that this will survive drops of up to 1.8 meters high, with IP64 water and dust resistance as well.

Lastly, AI was obviously kept in mind when this phone was being designed. It’s equipped with a dedicated hardware “AI button” that can be used for any commands through the AI Mobile Assistant.

The Honor X7e is currently available in Malaysia for MYR 899 (PHP 13,790).
