The vivo V60 Lite Redefines Mid-Range Endurance

Listen to article

The vivo V-series has been one of the smartphone models we look up to in so many ways, especially in terms of mobile photography and performance. Knowing its capabilities, this lineup has a premium price that speaks for its high regard to quality, but truth be told, not everyone has the same capacity to get a premium smartphone for themselves.

But with vivo’s latest offering, the V60 Lite, it offers a blend of long battery life, a great camera system, and a premium visual experience, all wrapped in a more affordable package. It’s a device that doesn’t just promise to keep up with your busy lifestyle; it’s engineered to outlast it, making it a powerful contender in the competitive mid-range segment.

This new model has landed on our shores, and let me tell you some of the best features of the vivo V60 Lite.

Captivating Design and Display

At first glance, the vivo V60 Lite certainly gives off an elegant vibe. It has colors you would love and appreciate that show lightness: Elegant Black (which is not too dark, but subtle), Titanium Blue, and Pop Pink, which is what we have here. And speaking of lightness in colors, it does in weight as well.

The vivo V60 Lite only weighs 194 grams and has a thin profile of just 7.6mm, making it very easy to grip and carry without any hassle. Some may find smartphones like they are carrying a brick in their pocket, but with the V60 Lite, it’s otherwise. Mind you, this one is IP65 rated providing protection against dust and water jets, as well as an SGS Five-Star Drop Resistance Military-Grade Certification for extra durability.

An elegant look comes with a good screen, too. The vivo V60 Lite sports a 6.77” AMOLED display with a crisp Full HD+ resolution. The huge screen shows off a good balance of colors and deep blacks which makes every multimedia experience appealing. With its 120Hz refresh rate, scrolling and gliding your fingertip anywhere on the screen makes it smooth and snappy.

The best part of this experience is that, aside from getting a good display, you also get to enjoy a loud audio quality with up to 400% maximum volume. So, every binge watching and gameplay is sure to be immersive.

Decent Performing Cameras

As per the cameras, the vivo V60 Lite carries a dual camera setup at the back: a 50MP Sony IMX882 Main Sensor and an 8MP Ultrawide lens that let you capture both scenic landscapes and fleeting moments in good quality.

The V60 Lite’s main camera captures photos that are bright, sharp, and well-detailed in daylight. It’s decent in low-light environments, but make sure there’s enough light to avoid grainy and noisy image.

Light feature that we can use to still capture great images and make your subject clear and nice. The ultrawide lens is a great addition for those who love shooting sceneries and group shots.

Up front, the 32MP selfie shooter is perfect for all your vanity needs, delivering clear and detailed selfies. The native editing app even throws in some cool AI-powered tools to let you play around with your images. Unfortunately, the 4G variant doesn’t have the AI Four-Season Portrait Feature that you see in the V60 Series. It’s only available for the 5G variant, but if you’re not into it, they both carry the same lenses.

The rear and front cameras can shoot and record video of up to 1080P @ 30FPS. It’s nice for those who love making content that won’t hurt your pocket.

Performance and Battery

Powering the vivo V60 Lite is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor. Now, let’s be real, this isn’t a flagship chip, but it’s good enough for your daily needs. Paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, it handles daily multitasking tasks smoothly and nicely.

Although the review unit we have here is the 4G variant, the 5G variant has a more powerful chip: a Mediatek Dimensity 7360-Turbo runs inside the other V60 Lite variant. But in our experience, the 4G variant still performed surprisingly well.

Now, let’s hop on to where this phone truly shines, its battery life. It packs a massive 6,500mAh BlueVolt Battery, and in my testing, this thing just keeps going. With this humongous battery pack, I used and fully drained the vivo V60 Lite for two days with just a single charge. When the juice is fully out, the 90W FlashCharge fills up the power supply in just a short time. A lifesaver for people who are always on the go.
The vivo V60 Lite supports bypass charging, so even when you’re in meetings, binge-watching movies, and gaming, you can use it while charging.

Verdict

Alright, let’s wrap things up! The vivo V60 Lite 4G is looking to be a great choice among those who prioritize long-lasting battery life, a premium-looking design with a great display, and reliable cameras. It’s a good choice for a daily driver that won’t break the bank.

The 4G variant may not have the AI Four-Season Portrait Feature, but it still has AI features that are very helpful and essential in our daily activities. If you really want to experience this feature, you can get the 5G variant and have fun with it.

Is it a phone for gaming? As I mentioned earlier, the 4G variant carries a different processor, but we were surprised when it handled multiple tasks and light/ casual gaming such as Mobile Legends and Honor of Kings. But the 5G variant has a chipset better suited for gaming, with features like smart cooling to avoid overheating and greater frame rates for fluid performance.

The vivo V60 Lite 4G is a typical Filipino smartphone user needs from watching videos to taking great photos and lasting through a full workday (and then some), it definitely gets my seal of approval. It’s a balanced and polished package.
