Toyota Vios GR-S now in the Philippines, priced

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) introduces its newest addition to the Toyota Vios lineup, the GR-S. This new variant is backed by its TOYOTA GAZOO Racing brand.

The Toyota Vios GR-S is dubbed as the motorsports-inspired reinvention of Toyota’s locally-manufactured passenger car, infuses upgraded design and new features. The GR-S, which stands for Gazoo Racing Sport, guarantees that a car was developed guided by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing which specializes in developing Toyota’s lineup of products built with racing DNA, as Toyota claims.

The Vios GR-S has a 1.5 liter DOHC gasoline engine conducted with a CVT to simulate 10 forward gears. Its engine produces 106hp at 6,000 rpm and up to 140Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm.

Moreover, this sports a new look designed for the racetrack with its exterior – marked with the GR emblem and featuring a sporty front bumper and grille, aero kit, and spoiler. It also features leather with red stitching on the wheel, shift lever and knob material, and suede/synthetic leather with red stitching seats.

Additional features include a 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The car also has a six-speaker sound setup, push-to-start ignition, and seven SRS airbags.

Toyota is selling GR-S Badges and Stickers with a little bumper upgrades with dsame engine performance for 1M+
“comedy”
You get those upgrades (even better upgrades) and “Badges” for a little over 100k the most!

It still pales in comparison with the Honda City RS which has Leather Seats, bigger touch screen, cruise control, etc.
