Apple has unveiled a new desktop computer and a very powerful one at that — the Mac Studio. It looks like the Mac Mini, only supersized and super-charged.
Alongside it are two new desktop processors for the Mac Studio — the M1 Max which has a 10-core CPU and 24-core GPU and the M1 Ultra with its impressive 20-core CPU and 48-core GPU.
The unit has 2 USB-C ports and one SDXC card slot at the front; and four Thunderbolt 4 ports, 2 USB-A ports, an HDMI port, one 10Gb Ethernet port, and 3.5mm headphone jack at the back.
The starting price of the Apple Mac Studio in the Philippines is Php117,990 for the M1 Max with 32GB RAM and 512GB storage. It then goes up to Php297,990 if you upgrade to an Apple M1 Max with 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine, 64GB RAM, 8TB SSD storage.
The Mac Studio with M1 Ultra has a starting price of Php237,990 with 64GB RAM and 1TB storage. You can max it out to Php477,990 with an upgraded Apple M1 Ultra with 20-core CPU, 64-core GPU, 32-core Neural Engine, 128GB RAM, 8TB SSD storage.
