Dell updates its XPS 13 with Kaby Lake chipset




Dell launched its new and refreshed XPS 13 which now carries Intel’s 7th generation processors otherwise known as Kaby Lake. The company claims it now has longer battery life and comes in a new Rose Gold color.

13-inch Full HD display @ 1920 x 1080 resolution
Corning Gorilla Glass
Intel 7th gen Core i5 processor
8GB RAM
256GB SSD
1535 Wireless-AC

Dell XPS 13 QHD (Rose Gold) specs:
13-inch Quad HD+ display with Touch @ 2560 x 1440 resolution
Corning Gorilla Glass
Intel 7th gen Core i5 processor
8GB RAM
256GB SSD
1535 Wireless-AC

Configurations for the XPS 13 is pretty flexible as you can choose from Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 variants, with 4GB / 8GB / 16GB RAM options and 128GB / 256GB / 512GB / 1TB for file storage.

There is also a Developer Edition XPS 13 which has Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and is priced at $949 (approx. Php45K). The non-dev edition, on the other hand, is at $799 (approx. Php38K).

    kaya lang kadalasan pagdating sa pilipinas, yung mga u.s. variants ay nagiging mas mababa ang screen resolution at nagiging 4GB nalang ang system memory.

    yung mga laptops sa favorite ayala mall ko at mga malalapit na computer stores ay nasa 2-4GB ang kadalasang memory.
    kung hindi ako nagkakamali, lampas dalawang taon na mas mababa ang bentahan ng memory chips mula sa samsung, hynix, atbp…

    ba’t ganun?

    Why always copy news from other countries.

    It would’ve been more helpful had you guys reported an actual refresh of the unit available locally.
    Also, tagging the price as such; ‘at $949 (approx. Php45K)’ Is very misleading as local prices tend to cost significantly more.

    The price is so misleading.I have asked local dell store in SM North the non rosegold model already costs around 82000
