Samsung also shipped their Meego-powered netbook this week, the Samsung N100. Spotted one in a Cyberzone store today at Megamall.
Samsung N100
10.1″ display @ 1024×600 pixels
Intel Atom N435 1.33GHz
Intel GMA 3150
1GB DDR3 RAM
320GB HDD
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
VGA webcam
USB 2.0
6-cell Li-ion battery
Meego OS
Samsung promises up to 11 hours of battery life but will really depend on the type of use.
Suggested retail price of the Samsung N100 is Php11,495. I’m sure, with the amount of drive space available, this can easily load Windows 7 and dual-boot it with Meego.
Remember though that the specs are very similar to the older generation, single-core Atom processors so don’t expect really good performance.

saang outlet sa cyberzone nyo po nakita ito??,.

The Windows7 version sells for only 13.5k… not very sure kung same specs pati hardware. Just saw the price side by side kase sa local pc stores dito.
i still prefer Windows…kahit paano magagamit mo sa ibat-ibang application like Words and Excel…pero kung pure browsing and online games pwede na din…
Puwede ba mag install ng windows 7 dito?

So, Meego?
Meego is a cool OS but is it stable?
Ayos may alternative na akong pagpipilian maliban sa ASUS EEEPC X101H.
I tried the first version of MeeGo on my Asus 1015HA before and it ran really well. The only thing that bothered me then was that WiFi connectivity dropped every 30 mins (I’d reconnect and after 30 mins. it disconnected again). I hope they have that fixed by now. Slick UI, bordering that of mobilephone-like.
try ubuntu 11.04..it is very stable…
I’ve been using Ubuntu since v.8.10 and now 11.04.. much as I use it everyday, I’m pretty sure Meego is a lot lighter in resources than Ubuntu.. specially the newer versions.. 8.04 ran fine on my (very) old 386 laptop with 256MB of RAM, but 11.04 kills it.. My guess is that Meego is probably a better fit on the Atom CPU..
Some typo error sir yuga.
“I’m sure, with the amount fo drive space available, this can easily load Windows 7 and dual-boot it with Meego.”
BTW, this is good for students. Give it a nice wrap this December. :)
It’s nice. Prices goes down this days to meet the needs and affordability.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Meebo shows a lot of promise. It’s a shame that the project has been abandoned by Nokia. This is one OS that could have given Android a run for its money.
funny how a typo can mean an entirely different thing.
@tot uy true. true. lol
