Samsung intros BRITECELL camera for better low light images

Samsung has revealed it’s latest smartphone camera technology called BRITECELL which might be used in the upcoming Galaxy S7 flagship.

According to Samsung, the BRITECELL pixel technology is capable of enhanced light sensitivity in low light condition with less color artifact. This technology will be housed in the new 16 megapixel camera module has a size of 5.0mm with a pixel size of 1.0um.

Although small, it supports similar low light sensitivity as 1.12um pixel of a larger 6.0mm module. This in turn would allow the company to manufacture slimmer smartphones.

Other features of the new camera is Smart WDR Technology for more detailed images and Phase-Detect Autofocus.
