Sony QX30 now selling for Php17,299

Announced back in September during IFA in Berlin, the Sony QX30 is now posted on the Sony Philippines website with a suggested retail price of Php17,229.

The QX30 is an independent lens for the smartphone (an not just Sony smartphones) with 30x optical zoom capability. It has a 20-megapixel resolution with 1/2.3 type (7.82mm) Exmor R CMOS sensor.

The Smartphone-Attachable Lens was first pioneered by Sony last year which is a totally new product line that replaces the built-in camera of smartphones.

Lens: 30.00x zoom (24 – 720mm equivalent)

It’s an upgrade to the QX10 which we reviewed here earlier. The suggested retail price of the Sony QX30 is Php17,299 and they should be available in stores by now.

pero it shoul work as a stand alone camera like the previous models. It has a dedicated shutter and zoom controls. You just need a smartphone for extra controls. Tapos buggy pa yung software lalo na sa iOS. Better buy a gopro. Haha

ito ang samsung k zoom ang pinagpilian ko…but end up with k zoom…reason…my motorola droid razr is so slow na, had lcd burn marks na, plus its forever JB na…

so to have this, need to have an updated phone din….ending, I had myself K zoom na lang.

Isn’t this the product that is technically a camera by itself – just that it requires a smartphone to control it and view the photos?

It’s more of a lens since it does not have a viewfinder or display, no dedicated shutter and focus control.
