Sony officially unveils the RX10 V, its first bridge camera in nine years, since the RX10 IV.
It keeps the familiar 24-600mm ZEISS zoom lens and the 20.1MP 1-inch stacked Exmor RS sensor, but then it kind of adds big upgrades for both photography and video.
The RX10 V is run by Sony’s new BIONZ XR processor with a dedicated AI chip. This lets it do up to 30fps blackout-free continuous shooting. Also, there’s AI-powered subject tracking. For video, it does 4K 60fps 10-bit 4:2:2 recording.
It even supports 4K 120fps with sensor crop, plus S-Log3, and S-Cinetone, which is nice for grading later.
Other upgrades include a larger NP-FZ100 battery, USB-C connectivity, and UHS-II SD card support. The Sony RX10 V is priced at USD 2,299.99 ( Php 141,579.32), while Philippine availability has yet to be announced.
