Robotics company 1X has unveiled the NEO Home Robot, which it calls the world’s first consumer-ready humanoid robot. The launch marks a major milestone for 1X, previously known as Halodi Robotics, which also developed the EVE warehouse robot. NEO enters a growing race in humanoid robotics, joining competitors like Tesla’s Optimus and XPENG’s Iron, though both remain in prototype testing. NVIDIA has announced Halos for Robotics. The system combines AI computing hardware, software, sensors, safety applications and inspection tools into a unified safety architecture for robotics and physical AI systems. Agility Robotics is the first company to adopt the platform which integrates NVIDIA Halos technologies into its Digit humanoid robot. This is a dedicated robotics safety software stack and an accredited inspection program that helps companies prepare for safety certification.
